BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (IMAGE):
Christine Hart, a singer, attends the Circus and visits Madam Raven,
a fortune teller. Madam Raven is expecting her, and asks about the dreams that Christine has
been having. For years Christine has dreamt she is at a masked ball and meets a mysterious
stranger. Madam Raven gives her rose petals to put under her pillow to summon the man in her
dreams. That night, she finds that the Starbearer has come to her.
BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
A cellist named Christine Hart reveals to Madam Raven that her family
has had a string of strange deaths. Every woman in her family has had
their father die shortly before they were born. Since she turned sixteen, Christine has also
been having dreams of the Prince of Hearts. Madam Raven gives her a totem of the Starbearer
that helps Christine find her way...
SPACEBASS SAYS:
This story is quite intriguing. We finally meet Christine (sixteen) and
since Gene Simmons wrote that song, I kind of figured that the story would revolve around The
Demon, or Blackwell. Instead, Christine is drawn to the Prince of Hearts, the Starbearer. It was
really neat when Clayton Crain threw in Sam & Twitch, and also another TMP connection with John
Lennon. (now that they made Sgt Peppers figures- LOL) I wonder if Sam & Twitch will ever
investigate the Psycho Circus? That would be very interesting. The only negative thing about
this issue is that the cover got me all psyched up for some King of Beasts action.

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
Madam Raven's rose petals draw the Starbearer into Christine Hart's dreams.
He steals her heart's desire, but in the end helps her to reconnect with her inspiration.
SPACEBASS SAYS:
I really think that Clayton Crain is hitting a new creative stride in this
issue. Check out the split faces on page 7. I thought that was a really interesting approach, not
to mention the way he depicted the 'shape-shifting' aspect of the Four-Who-Are-One. In this story,
Crain's Starbearer seemed to take on an essence similar to Dracula, Phantom of the Opera, or The
Crow.
I also kept thinking that Christine Hart would become a part of the Circus
a la Kismet, but again Holguin eluded my expectations. One thing is for sure, you never know how
the story is going to end. (most of the time not until the last page!)
We work long & hard on many of the pictures found on this site. Please do us a favor: don't
rationalize stealing ANYTHING. If you can't create an original web site, don't do one!
Real simple, right? Anyway, if you do, I'll let my boys Nicky & Mickey pay you a visit. I may
even go as far as getting the Nightmare King to resurrect Deuce! This could get ugly...
