BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (IMAGE):
When a lost little girl is lured away from the circus crowd by Mr.
Makebelieve, the clown, the ringmaster, the animal trainer, and the stilt man all interfere
to foil his amoral plans. The Four-Who-Are-One appear and intimidate Mr. Makebelieve into
revealing the secrets of his soul.
BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
Mr. Makebelieve makes the mistake of stalking a child while he visits the Psycho Circus.
The-Four-Who-Are-One reveal that they have been watching him for some time after they corner him.
In a bid for sympathy, Mr. Makebelieve tells them his story...
SPACEBASS SAYS:
Mr. Makebelieve is a villian that I would put up high in the ranks like Billy Kincaid from the Spawn book.
The story brings up a real dilemna for The-Four-Who-Are-One. How do you punish a man for crimes when he has a split personality?
Or multiple personalities? Or perhaps Mr. Makebelieve has been possessed by The Frenzy, and is not truly guilty at all.
Maybe he isn't a villian at all, but really a victim. Could you imagine having no control over your actions? Having to watch yourself
do unspeakable things? I wonder how The-Four-Who-Are-One will solve this horrible problem?

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
The-Four-Who-Are-One force Mr. Makebelieve to their 'tribunal
of justice.' After learning how The Frenzy came to be, justice is served when he ends
up 'dying a thousand undignified deaths.'
SPACEBASS SAYS:
A real cool way to end the story. Think about it, the ending could
have been really messy, but Holguin found a way to keep it positive without making it
unrealistic. The Punch & Judy part was really a neat take on things- '...The Frenzy went on
to die a thousand undignified deaths...' What a way to humiliate a villian! I really liked the
schizo layout style of page 16. A 'fractured mirror' of sorts. I also enjoyed the coloring of
the flashback parts from this issue and the previous one. It really set itself apart from the
present parts of the story. I was relieved to learn that Mr. Makebelieve had no knowledge of
what The Frenzy was doing to those children. Even though those sorts of things exist in reality,
it is hard to believe that someone could actually do them on their own.
We work long & hard on many of the pictures found on this site. Please do us a favor: don't
rationalize stealing ANYTHING. If you can't create an original web site, don't do one!
Real simple, right? Anyway, if you do, I'll let my boys Nicky & Mickey pay you a visit. I may
even go as far as getting the Nightmare King to resurrect Deuce! This could get ugly...
