BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (IMAGE):
Identical twins -mirror image identical twins- are invited to leave a club and go to the Psycho Circus. There, they ride a carousel that increases in speed until the surroundings become a blur. When the carousel stops, one twin is missing. Each sees the other as being gone, and as they search for each other, they have the same experiences. When they are reunited, they also find a third girl lying on a marble slab who looks exactly like themselves. Later, at the club, one of the twins suddenly collapses.

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
Identical twins Iris and Ivy are hanging out at a dance club when they are approached and handed two tickets to the Psycho Circus. At the circus, they take a ride on the carousel and end up separated from one another. After seeing visions of the Four-Who-Are-One, they are briefly reunited until one of the twins collapses mysteriously...

SPACEBASS SAYS:
This story is kind of difficult to evaluate as of yet. It is a tad slow moving, and without reading the rest of the storyline it is hard to know where it is going. I will go out on a limb and point out the one and only problem that I have had with the Kiss Psycho Circus book: pacing. Many times the story lengths are perfect (ie: Sunburst Finish, Smoke & Mirrors, Makebelieve) but sometimes they can be a bit too long. Take the 'Destroyer' arc for example. There is a story that could have been told in three issues and the result would have been a bit tighter. (I get the feeling that they wanted the four interlocking covers, though.) 'World Without Heroes' could have been one issue, allowing a much longer issue span for the excellent, but somewhat rushed 'Year of the Fox' story. For now, I get the feeling that 'Mirror Image' could have been told in one issue. Only time will tell.

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
The sin that pulled the identical twins to the Psycho Circus is finally revealed. In the end, a merciful judgement is handed down from the Four-Who-Are-One.

SPACEBASS SAYS:
This storyline was really quite cerebral. The whole time I was reading it, I kept wondering if the twins were really twins, or if it was one person with multiple personalties. (I was probably reading into it too much.)
I think everyone has at least a passing interest in twins and the unspoken closeness that they almost always share. When their father got sick, the twins still had one another. In contrast, the stepmother felt like she would soon be left all alone in the world. I'm not excusing her actions, but it was an interesting point to make- how people react in times of great emotional stress and sorrow. Reading a book like this really keeps you on your toes, and I guess that is thing I like best about it. I wonder if we'll ever see the twins again?

We work long & hard on many of the pictures found on this site. Please do us a favor: don't
rationalize stealing ANYTHING. If you can't create an original web site, don't do one!
Real simple, right? Anyway, if you do, I'll let my boys Nicky & Mickey pay you a visit. I may
even go as far as getting the Nightmare King to resurrect Deuce! This could get ugly...
