BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
While gazing into her crystal ball, Madam Raven has a vision of the circus being destroyed and decides to shut it down, so that she can dedicate her attention elsewhere. As the workers dismantle the circus, Blackwell wonders what is wrong with Madam Raven. Meanwhile, a distraught man is plagued by dark visions...

SPACEBASS SAYS:
Welcome to the story DESTROYER! (Part one of four) I think it is great how this comic alternates between one issue stories & multiple issue stories. In a way, this comic is kind of like a cross between the SPAWN comic, and the CURSE OF THE SPAWN comic. With SPAWN being an ongoing story, and CURSE OF THE SPAWN being a bunch of tales, KISS PSYCHO CIRCUS takes the best of both comics and comes out a real winner. Short tales are told, while advancing the overall story. After three one-off stories, the timing is perfect for a four issue story. (Although now we must agonize for four months.) This issue also features part one of an interview with writer Brian Holguin.
This issue is particularly tense right from the beginning. It starts off with a vision: the destruction of the Psycho Circus! Say it ain't so! The detective 'Twitch' from SPAWN makes a brief cameo on page 11. Eric Carr also appears for the first time petting a fox. Cool details! The ending has me counting the days until # 11. Check out the Psycho Babble page for a letter from us!! WAY COOL!! It's so cool, I can barely write/type. (as you can see)  80)

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (IMAGE- from KISS PSYCHO CIRCUS #12):
The Four-Who-Are-One gather to discuss an emerging evil that threatens to engulf the world. They agree that action must be taken, no matter what the cost. At the circus, a great storm announces the coming of the "Dark Light," a power that will remake the world in its image and Kismet learns that none of the lost souls can leave the circus without perishing. Led by the Nightmare King, who emerged from the madness of a young man named Joshua Childe, the hordes of Chaos taint the world with formless evil, spreading quickly to all ends of the globe. Only the Four-Who-Are-One stand in their way.

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
All Hell Is Breaking Loose as Joshua Childe changes into The Nightmare King, a new threat to the Psycho Circus. An age-old force is released, trapping the circus and warping the world as we know it. Will the Four-Who-Are-One be able to snap the strings of this mad puppeteer?

SPACEBASS SAYS:
Welcome to part two of DESTROYER! A description in a word: TENSE! This issue is an exhausting one to read as things look very bleak for the Psycho Circus. We learn more about Joshua Childe, aka The Nightmare King, and we also get our first glimpse of the Realm of The Elder and witness its raw power. Who would have thought that there could be anything stronger than the circus! DESTROYER is shaping up to be an epic story. I'm very glad that one year later this comic is still going strong with NO signs of letting up. I must compliment the drawing team on this issue due to all the warped images in it. They are simply amazing.
The Psycho Babble in this issue is very telling of the seriousness that KISS & IMAGE have regarding the comic. It states that they will be doing things for at least four years, and that Gene Simmons himself is working with other people on a full-length feature movie script. I know I'll be the first one in line to see that movie! If they stay true to the comic, how could it go wrong?

They battle the Nightmare King's minions in their dimensions and then continue the fiery battle into the earthly dimension as the Elders try to save their Psycho Circus counterparts.

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS (SPACEBASS):
As The Nightmare King continues his siege against reality and The-Four-Who-Are-One, Madam Raven reveals to Kismet that if the four avatars fall, all shall persish.

SPACEBASS SAYS:
Part three of DESTROYER is about as fast-paced as I can take! (LOL) Things look terribly grim for the Four-Who-Are-One as they confront The Nightmare King face to face in a battle to perserve the Psycho Circus. I, for one, can't wait to see how this turns out. As I read this issue, I found myself forgetting that this isn't real. I really got caught up in the action. This is the highest compliment I think I can pay to the creators of this book. I'm dying for the ending, but I'm also scared of the outcome. (=Another month of agony!!)

The Elders correct the past transgression that gave the Nightmare King all of his power in the first place. Meanwhile, Joshua Childe's dreams come to an abrupt end.

SPACEBASS SAYS:
Four months of nail-biting later, the DESTROYER storyline has concluded. One of the things that I like most about the Kiss Psycho Circus book is that the questions get answered very slowly, and they always leave the reader asking MORE questions. No quick fix here! The fact that this book is so engaging is the best compliment that we Kiss fans could ever ask for. Let's face it, Kiss merchandise is a very hot commodity, and fans of the band often turn into collectors of all things Kiss. It would have been very easy to create a mediocre book that would have lasted the run of the current Psycho Circus tour and CD. Instead, we have a very intelligently written comic that has the potential to outlive the band. The extras are always nice, too. This issue contains an interview with Art Director Brent Ashe. (BTW, looks like he has a nice view, judging by the picture. Note to self: Get a job at Image. LOL)

Note: The covers of issues # 10-13 form one giant picture when placed side by side.

We work long & hard on many of the pictures found on this site. Please do us a favor: don't
rationalize stealing ANYTHING. If you can't create an original web site, don't do one!
Real simple, right? Anyway, if you do, I'll let my boys Nicky & Mickey pay you a visit. I may
even go as far as getting the Nightmare King to resurrect Deuce! This could get ugly...
